Remembering a Legend: Oscar de la Renta #RIP

No matter where you’ve been in the past 24 hours, you’ve probably heard of the passing of Oscar de la Renta. Credited as one of the world’s most well known fashion designers, he passed away  October 20th at age 82.

He was one of few names to make the red-carpet what it was, producing many iconic gowns for stars Sandra Bullock, Scarlett Johansson, Candice Bergen and Sara Jessica Parker, among others.

Born in the Dominican Republic, he first made his name in the 1960’s dressing first lady Jacqueline Kennedy. He later established his company in New York in 1965, and expanded his line to include shoes, handbags, jewelry, fragrances and home decor.
