The Kids of Zareinu: A night of Fashion and Inspiration

Last week we had the pleasure of attending an incredibly inspiring event. The 11th annual Zareinu Fashion Show was so much more than fashion, it was a night that will resonate with us for a very long time. Held in Toronto’s posh Yorkville village at the Park Hyatt Hotel, the evening was hosted by Toronto’s own style icon, Jeanne Beker, and featured a collection of fall and winter looks curated from The Shops at Hazelton Lanes, along with delicious treats, cocktails, and of course, swag.  Zareinu is a Toronto area school for children with special needs, and this annual event is both a fundraiser and a tribute to the amazing Zareinu kids and their hurdling accomplishments… several of whom even strutted their stuff down the runway donning Gap Kids, in true fashion show form.  The night was an emotional exposé, and a testament of the strength and determination of these families and the life changing impact that Zareinu has had on their lives.  We have so much admiration for the women (and mother’s) who make this show happen every year, co-chairs Esti Cohen, Stacy Markin, and Renee Rosenzweig.  As Jeanne Beker so gracefully put it, “Kudos to the dynamic team that stages this wonderous event… orchestrating this elegant and innovative fundraiser where the kids truly are the ‘supermodels'”.

Below are a few of our favorite looks from the night, and of course, we had to stop by the red carpet 😉
